LG & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rejoin Forces For The LG V20

LG has rejoined forces with actor and celebrity Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the upcoming LG V20, which LG is boasting will be the very first device to come running on Android 7.0 Nougat when it launches in September. Last August, LG partnered up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt for his hitRECord campaign which saw the community of artists and creators getting exclusive access to equipment from LG like their flagship G4 device, to create even more memories and content based around the every-day special moments that people tend to forget – the in-between moments, which was to be used as a commercial for the LG V10. This year, the partnership returns with a focus on the LG V20 being the star of the show and with the hitRECord community getting to create some amazing stuff as part of the new theme of “Everyday, Spectacular.”

Just as last year’s partnership resulted in LG using the community’s creation for a TV commercial – and according to Joseph Gordon-Levitt as well as LG’s data on the performance of that creation, it was one of the most successful TV commercials that LG had ever put out – LG has reached out to the hitRECord community again this year for another commercial to promote the LG V20. Naturally, hitRECord was only too happy to oblige, calling the request a “vote of confidence” that speaks to the success of what the hitRECord community has created for the world to see.

Just like last year, this new commercial creation will see a number of members of the hitRECord community receive an LG device to record and create their portions of the “Everyday, Spectacular” project. It isn’t mentioned which devices will be sent out for community members to use, but since last year’s device was the LG G4, chances are that this year it would be the LG G5. Anyone is able to create something for this project and can join the hitRECord community to be a part of it, and for the creators whose content ends up getting used in any of the three final productions of LG’s V20 commercial, they’ll be compensated with payment, adding a little bit of incentive to get out there and create something special. The LG V20 is due to release next month, and while the announcement of this new partnership is fresh as of today, anyone interested in participating will want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible to submit their creations.
