The LG V20 is definitely one of the most anticipated devices this year, maybe not to the extent of the Galaxy Note 7 or the new Nexus devices, but it certainly has its following. It was not 100% certain whether LG plans to introduce this handset at all, well, until yesterday, when the company not only confirmed that the phone will land next month, but they’ve also said that it will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which certainly comes as a surprise. The LG V20 will be the first non-Nexus smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat, and it has big shoes to fill considering its predecessor was quite a compelling offering. The LG V20 is launching next month, and we haven’t seen a single spec leak, well, until now that is, read on.
If you take a look at the image down below, you’ll get to see leaked specs for the upcoming LG V20. This leak comes from South Korea, and if it is accurate, the LG V20 will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) in-cell display, which means that it will be inferior to its predecessor in terms of resolution considering the fact that the LG V10 featured a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) panel. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel the LG V20, at least according to this leak, and you’ll also get the Adreno 530 GPU here which will be in charge of graphics processing. Two LG V20 variants will be available, one will sport 3GB of RAM, while the other one will ship with 4GB of RAM on the inside. According to this leak, LG also plans to offer two internal storage variants, 32GB and 64GB models, which, we presume, will be coupled with 3GB and 4GB of RAM, respectively. The 20-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the LG V20, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. You can also expect the phone to ship with a 4,000mAh battery, and the USB Type-C port.
Interesting enough, this leak does not mention the secondary display, nor does it say anything about a dual camera setup up front which was available on the LG V10. We do, however, expect the LG V20 to come with a secondary ‘ticker’ display, that was the main feature of its predecessor, so the LG V20 is more than likely to sport such a panel. You can also expect this phone to be made out of metal, at least partially. Either way, we’ll know everything next month when LG decides to release this handset, but do stay tuned until then, more rumors / leaks are likely to follow soon.
