LG had confirmed quite recently that the LG V20 will be announced on September 6th, and that Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device. Now, this will make the LG V20 the first smartphone to be released with Android 7.0 Nougat, which is something we’re not used to. As you probably already know, Google tends to release new Nexus device along with new version of Android first, which won’t be the case this year it seems. The company did start rolling out this update to the existing Nexus units, but did not announce new ones to accompany this release just yet.
In any case, the LG V20 will be a high-end offering by LG, and it will sport a secondary ‘ticker’ display, just like its predecessor, the LG V10. We’ve already seen quite a few leaks when it comes to this device, and the latest one gave us a great look at the front side of the device. That being said, a new image has leaked, and this time around we seem to be looking at the real life image of LG’s upcoming phablet. If you take a look at the provided shot, you’ll get to see the alleged LG V20 in the flesh. This sure looks like the renders that have leaked recently, and LG’s logo is visible below the phone’s display, even though that part of the picture is a bit blurred out. The LG V20 will be made out of metal, and it will resemble the LG G5 from the back, the front side of the device does looks quite a bit different though.
If rumors and leaks are to be believed, the LG V20 will sport dual camera setups both on its front and back side. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, while it will ship with 4GB of RAM on the inside. The 5.7-inch display will be available up front, most probably, and a 4,000mAh battery has also been mentioned quite recently. The 16 and 8-megapixel snappers are said to ship on the back of the LG V20, and you can also expect to see the laser autofocus on the back of this phone. Android 7.0 Nougat will come out of the box, as already mentioned, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find LG’s custom UI.
