The Nexus Sailfish and Marlin smartphones are expected to arrive in the coming weeks, and HTC will manufacture them, as FCC’s listing confirmed recently. Speaking of which, the two Nexus devices have already been certified in the US by the FCC, and the two phones have also been benchmarked by AnTuTu quite recently. We’ve seen tons of rumors and leaks when it comes to these two phones, and their alleged price points surfaced not long ago as well. That being said, another leak just popped up, read on.
As part of this leak, we get to check out a number of new Nexus Sailfish renders. Now, as it was the case with previous renders, we’re not sure how legit these images are, so take everything you see here with a grain of salt, as per usual, as it is possible these renders are based on previously leaked info. In any case, you can see a rather familiar design here considering the fact that this smartphone leaked a number of times thus far. The device will, allegedly, going to be made out of metal and glass, it will sport a metallic frame which will be placed in-between two sheets of glass. The fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of this smartphones, as you can clearly see in the provided images, and the power / lock and volume rocker keys will be available on the right-hand side of this device. If these renders are to be believed, the power / lock key will be placed above the volume rocker buttons, as it was the case on both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom of this smartphone, and will be flanked by two sets of speaker grills, though we’re still not sure if there will be a speaker available on both sides, or not. Antenna bands are quite visible in these images as well, and so is the 3.5mm headphone jack which will be placed on top of the Nexus Sailfish.
Now, as already mentioned, the Nexus Sailfish has been benchmarked by AnTuTu recently, and according to that listing, the phone will sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC is expected to fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 13-megapixel shooter is said to be placed on the back of the Nexus Sailfish, and Android 7.0 Nougat will, of course, come pre-installed on this smartphone.
