South Korean electronics giant, Samsung, is known to customize their flagship devices and sell them as limited edition smartphones. Usually, Samsung makes use of a superhero theme such as Iron Man for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Injustice Edition for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which featured a Batman theme. There has also been a case where Samsung released a special edition Galaxy S7 Edge for the Olympics, going to the extent of giving one device to each of the 12,500 athletes competing at the recent Summer Olympics in Rio. However, with the recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, it is rumored that Samsung is gearing up to release an Injustice Edition Galaxy Note 7, similar to that of the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Leaked photos posted on Weibo, China’s extremely popular micro blogging platform, seems to show the Galaxy Note 7 running on the Batman theme which is similar to the one found on the Galaxy S7 Edge. The device appears to come in a deep black color with gold accents around the edges of the frame, as well as gold accents on the home button and fingerprint sensor, and around the rear camera lens and around the LED flash. The Samsung logo on the back seems to be also in gold, and on the back, there appears to be a familiar Batman logo in gold as well. The Galaxy Note 7 seen in the leaked pictures seem to be pretty similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition. Software wise, the dial pad of the device is modified. This is also coupled with an overall dark theme and icons which seems to fit in pretty well with the overall theme.
However, rumors have surfaced indicating that this device will pack slightly different internals from the current Galaxy Note 7. For starters, it is rumored that the Galaxy Note 7 Injustice Edition will pack 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, and the device is also rumored to come with dual-SIM support. It is unknown when Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 7 Injustice Edition or which markets it will be available and till then, take this rumor with a pinch of salt until further clarification is given by Samsung itself.
