Samsung Confirms Action Memo Return For The Galaxy Note 7

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users will be happy to learn that Samsung has confirmed the return of the Action Memo feature and will be enabling it on the recently released Galaxy Note 7 in the near future. The new phablet officially went on sale back on August 19th, and it was announced back at the beginning of the month on August 2nd at Samsung’s Unpacked event. While there is much to be excited about with the Galaxy Note 7 as the latest device in the phablet flagship line, past Galaxy Note device users who were planning to upgrade to the latest and greatest may have been unhappy with Samsung’s decision to leave Action Memo out of the mix when launching the phone.

The good news for those that have missed this app since picking up the Galaxy Note 7, is that Samsung has confirmed that Action Memo will be included with the Samsung Notes app in the near future, once they update the app to version 1.2, which will be happening sometime next month and before late September according to Samsung’s response to a comment on the Samsung Notes app in the Play Store. Although the Galaxy note 7 and the accompanying S Pen are by no means dysfunctional and lacking capabilities, the presence of Action Memo will certainly make the device that much more robust and feature rich.

For those that have never used Action Memo, it enabled users to do things like pin notes to the homscreen as well as add links to web addresses, emails, and phone numbers when using the “link to action” option. Doing this would let users write down phone numbers, email addresses, and web addresses and then open them, which could naturally be pretty useful. While Action Memo is no doubt going to be a useful perk to have if you’re a Galaxy Note 7 device owner, the phone has plenty of other useful attributes like the Always on Display, as well as the IP68 rating for the device and the S Pen.
