Heroes of Havoc is an Android RPG game from the same developers as Dash Galactic. It’s a fantasy game that channels classic RPG games while also throwing in good-looking 3D graphics, a variety of different enemies as well as 50 different heroes to create the ideal team with. It’s a clicker game that gives players all manner of different items and loot to hoard that will make your heroes stronger, and with the right set of armor and weapons, you can evolve these heroes as well. A great game for those that miss the RPG games of old, Heroes of Havoc is well worth giving a try, and we’re going to take a closer look at it here.
Just like other games, Heroes of Havoc can be downloaded from the Play Store. It is a free-to-play game, with other game features unlockable over time, and there are ads included, too. Once installed players are given an introduction to the world that Heroes of Havoc have in store for players.
After that, players will be introduced to a friendly helper that will get players up-to-speed with what they need to do in order to play Heroes of Havoc.
All of the action takes place in the top display, and there’s little in the way of action elsewhere, but all of the attacks and such are down below. This is explained to players over time, but with regards to the controls and such, there aren’t really any at all. Attacks are automatically made by your team, but tapping on the attacks will help them to recharge a lot quicker.
The tutorial at work here does have a tendency to drag on a little bit, which some will find really quite annoying, but it does do the job that it’s supposed to do, which is help new players get to grips with the game. She helps you understand certain aspects of the game such as the item system – items and weapons are dropped after every successful mission.
Over time, players will end up collecting all manner of different items, these lead to evolution of your Heroes. Which in turn helps to give the game a real sense of progression. Often in games like these, loot can be relegated to not being that much use at all, but here it has a clear and definitive use for something more than the sake of collecting things just because it’s fun.
Of course, RPG players will always enjoy collecting loot, and it’s great to see that Heroes of Havoc is not a game that disappoints in the loot department, as there’s a lot of it available here.
Alongside the ability to upgrade your Heroes, this is a game that has very definite structure in terms of missions, and each of these give players a feeling of traveling through a great fantasy realm as if they’re embarking on some great journey.
With more loot and more evolved Heroes – of which their are 50 to choose from over the course of a game – Heroes of Havoc gets more and more challenging, and grows in terms of depths. The opening game features fairly simple game mechanics, as the enemies are fairly simple to beat, but over time this changes dramatically.
A game like this, that’s free-to-play, will unavoidably have some sort of built-in in-app purchases and such, and here, players can unlock more features to get more game to play over time.
Players are also rewarded for free as well, in the form of daily rewards as well as watching ads to keep extending the initial value of the free game.
I’ve played a lot of games like these in the past, and while I didn’t think that I would initially enjoy Heroes of Havoc, I quickly got into it. I’m not the type of person that likes games doing things for me, but the added depth of the different heroes and clear progression from one level to another is well worth experiencing. It’s also the sort of game that will appeal to all sorts of players, including casual gamers as well as die-hard RPG players that are looking for something a little different. With the simple, yet deep loot system that rewards players for actually using their rewards, players playing Heroes of Havoc can end up with a formidable force that offers players all manners of possibilities in gameplay style and so on. The 3D graphics look good, and while I wish that there were a little more to the controls than just tapping faster to recharge an attack, Heroes of Havoc has a lot on offer, and it will definitely appeal to mobile gamers looking for something that they can take everywhere with them.

Heroes of Havoc is a game that will appeal to both casual gamers as well as those that have played many an RPG in their time, and it does so in a package that works well in a mobile setting such as an Android smartphone. It could do with a shorter tutorial and perhaps some more complicated controls for those that are looking for more of a challenge but overall, there’s a lot on offer here, and it’s something that should definitely be given a try.
