The Official Premier League App Now Ready To Download

Rightfully so, the last few weeks in the world of sports has been largely focused on the 2016 Rio Olympics. However, that is not the only sporting coverage that is going on right now. If you live in the UK, Europe or anywhere else for that matter, and have a keen interest in football/soccer, then you are probably keenly aware that the weekend just gone saw the 2016/2017 English Premier League (EPL) kick off, literally.

With this being the opening weekend, the best part of the next year will largely be dominated with news emerging from the Premier League and if you want to keep up to date on everything that happens, as it happens, then one option worth considering is the Premier League Android app. This is the official app by the Football Association (FA) and as such comes laden with a number of features and additional content that a football fan will be happy to see. As well as the generic and expected aspects like news coverage, results, fixtures, team and player statistics, and so on, the app also includes the ability to merge your official Premier League Fantasy Football account. Which means you can sync the information and control everything from just the one app.

One of the nice benefits of the app is upon startup it does ask if you have a specific interest in one team, as most football fans primarily do. After selecting your team, you are giving the option to not receive updates about the rest of the Premier League teams. So you do have the choice of knowing everything about all teams for the rest of the football calendar or just streamlining the content for your team in particular. Likewise, even if your team is not currently in the Premier League, the app does draw on the Premier League’s 25-year history, so if your club ever was in the Premier League, then its profile will be included in this latest version. The app does not just limit coverage and news to just the main Premier League though, as it does also provide details and news for the PL2 (formerly the Under 21s), the U18s and also the Champions League. So there is plenty of content on offer here. The app is free to download from the Google Play Store, seems to be clear of any and all IAPs and is open to all, regardless of location. So if you are not based in the UK, this is a very handy way to keep up to date with everything EPL-related.
