Top 20: Accessories for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is finally available, after being announced earlier on in the month. Now that pre-orderers have their device in hand, it’s time to check out some accessories for the Galaxy Note 7. We’ve already done a top 10 cases post for the Galaxy Note 7, so you can keep your smartphone protected. Here are some other accessories that are worth checking out.

Samsung Gear Fit2

Also announced fairly recently, is the Gear Fit2 from Samsung. This is their second-generation of the Gear Fit, as you can tell by the name. It’s their own fitness tracker that will connect with any Android smartphone, and also bring notifications to your wrist. The Gear Fit2 comes in a variety of colors, and either small or medium/large sizes.

Huawei Watch

Samsung doesn’t produce any Android Wear smartwatches any more, they’ve gone all in with Tizen on wearables. So if you’re looking to get an Android Wear smartwatch, you’ll need to look elsewhere. Luckily the Huawei Watch is one of the best Android Wear smartwatches available, and it’s under $300 now. It’ll also get the update to Android Wear 2.0.

Ringke FUSION Case for Galaxy Note 7

Ringke has been around for quite some time, and they really became popular with the Nexus 4 and their bumper. Now they are here with their FUSION TPU Bumper Case for the Galaxy Note 7. This is a clear bumper case, which means you’ll be able to still show off that sexy Galaxy Note 7, while still keeping it safe. Always important, especially when you’ve bought a smartphone that costs around $850.

Spigen Neo Hybrid Case for Galaxy Note 7

Everyone wants to protect their smartphone, but not everyone wants to make their already big smartphone, more bulky. Luckily the Spigen Neo Hybrid is a pretty thin and lightweight case, that does also add a bit of grip to the Galaxy Note 7. With the Galaxy Note 7 having a glass back, the smartphone is already pretty slippery. So this is definitely something that everyone will want to pick up.

Kaptron Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Kaptron has released a pretty nice screen protector for the Galaxy Note 7. It’s a tempered glass protector. This is preferred over the other plastic screen protectors as it feels more natural to your finger, and makes it easier to use your device. As the plastic protectors can get sticky especially in hot weather.

Samsung Gear VR

The Gear VR got a facelift with the Galaxy Note 7 this month. Since the Galaxy Note 7 sports a USB Type-C connector, Samsung had to upgrade their Gear VR. And this new one supports USB-C and micro USB connectors. Making it compatible with all of their flagships newer than the Galaxy S6. The Gear VR is still priced at just $99, making it a great entry-level VR headset for anyone looking to get into virtual reality.

Samsung Gear IconX

Along with the Gear Fit2, Samsung had also announced the Gear IconX. These are their first pair of truly wireless earbuds. What that means is that there is no cord connecting the two together. They are basically like two separate Bluetooth headsets for each ear. Like the Gear Fit2, these also come in a slew of colors – ones that match the Gear Fit2 as well.

Samsung Gear S2

Samsung does make its own smartwatch, although it runs Tizen and not Android Wear. Fortunately, the Gear S2 is compatible with Android devices that aren’t Samsung, but since you bought a Galaxy Note 7, that doesn’t matter to you. The Gear S2 comes in both the regular version with silicon straps, and a classic version, which looks quite a bit more like a classy smartwatch.

Ranke USB-C to USB-A Cable

Since you bought the Galaxy Note 7, you probably need some new cables now. Since the Galaxy Note 7 does sport a USB Type-C connector (or USB-C), many of your  existing cables won’t work. But there are plenty available, like this one from Ranke. This is a USB-C to USB-A cable that will work with your existing wall and car chargers, and charge up your Galaxy Note 7 without any issues.

Caseology Parallax Series

Caseology has a few different series of cases available for smartphones, and the Parallax is one of their more popular series. The Parallax has a unique dynamic geometric pattern on the back, which gives the Galaxy Note 7 some added grip. Definitely important since the back is made of glass and is indeed slippery. It also makes the Galaxy Note 7 look pretty unique, to say the least.

IQ Shield Anti-Gare Screen Protector

IQ Shield has a great screen protector here, and it’s a matte protector which will keep the glare away as well. This is especially important when using your Galaxy Note 7 outdoors in direct sunlight. As you want to be able to see the display without having any glare. It’s a bubble-free screen protector and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Kroma Qi Wireless Charging Pad

The Galaxy Note 7 is the only flagship smartphone released so far this year, that supports Qi Wireless charging. It seems to be a dying technology, but Samsung is still including it. Which is a good thing. Kroma has a Qi Wireless charging pad here that’s pretty cheap, coming in at under $10 and it actually looks rather nice as well.

Spigen has a ton of cases available for the Galaxy Note 7, including the Rugged Armor here. This one is a bit thicker than the others on this list, but that means it’ll add more protection to your Galaxy Note 7. Which is definitely important. The Rugged Armor case will protect the sides as well as the back of your Galaxy Note 7, but you’ll still be able to use the features of that curved display.

Skinomi Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 7

Skinomi does something that these other screen protectors don’t do, and that’s provide full coverage of your Galaxy Note 7. It protects the entire front of the Galaxy Note 7, that includes the bezels where the home button/fingerprint sensor, and the capacitive buttons live. So you’ll be able to use your Galaxy Note 7 with added piece of mind.

Especially in gold or silver, but it does have a rather small capacity.

Samsung Fast Charge Wireless Charging Stand

The Galaxy Note 7 (as well as the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge) support fast Qi Wireless charging. Many Qi Wireless chargers don’t actually support that standard, but Samsung’s own wireless charging stand does. It’s a bit more expensive than the others on this list, but it is a much faster option. Especially if you don’t want to be bothered with wires and cords.

Samsung Level Box Mini Wireless Speaker

The speaker on the Galaxy Note 7 isn’t the best speaker around, in a smartphone. But that’s what Bluetooth is for. Using Bluetooth, you can connect your Galaxy Note 7 to a speaker to play music, watch a video or anything else. And why not use one of Samsung’s own speakers? The Level Box Mini has gotten some rave reviews since it was launched, and it’s priced relatively cheap as well. Coming in at about $50 right now.
