There are various stop-offs that new devices make along the way to market and these all typically happen prior to the unveiling and announcement of a device, which does mean they often provide a little bit more information than was previous known. At the very least, they continue to confirm that a certain product is on the way to market. Which is largely the case today with two smartphones having now been spotted passing through the Global Certification Forum (GCF). Although, these two phones are not any old phones, as they are the two new Google phones, the Pixel and the Pixel XL.
In total, four models have now been spotted passing through the GCF and these break down as two models (International and US version) of the Pixel and two models (International and US version) for the Pixel XL. While the listings do not specifically state that these are the two Pixel smartphones, they do list the model numbers as G-2PW2100 and G-2PW2200 for the Pixel, while G-2PW4100 and G-2PW4200 are listed for the Pixel XL. And it is these models numbers that largely confirms that these are the two Pixel phones as the G-2PW2100 and the G-2PW4100 had already been noted as passing through the FCC as the Pixel and Pixel XL. If you needed any more proof that HTC is the manufacturer behind the two new Pixel phones, then all four GCF listings do state that these are HTC devices.
While the previous FCC listings did confirm most of the band support for the two handsets, the GCF listings go through the entirety of the supported bands for both models and for both the International and US versions of each model.
