Jide has been consistently doing their part to bring more enhancements to the world of Android through their releases of Remix OS, but today Jide takes things a bit further by unveiling and launching Remix OS Player, an Android emulator aimed at making it as easy as possible to run and play Android games on your PC, whether it’s flinging birds at pigs in the latest Angry Birds 2 update or smashing your opponents in Vainglory. Whatever your game, Remix OS Player wants to be your gateway to helping you play it on any PC you own without having to put in much effort, and since this is an emulator, there surely won’t be much effort.
One thing that Jide is keen to point out about Remix OS Player right off the bat is that it is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which makes sense given that Jide updated Remix OS for PC to Marshmallow earlier in the Summer back at the end of July. Also worth mentioning is that although Jide seems to be putting in a lot of effort for making Remix OS easier to access for those who already own a PC, they are still putting in efforts to launch Remix OS hardware, such as a new tablet, laptop and more.
With Remix OS Player, although Jide is labeling this as an Android game emulator, it allows you access to Remix OS, so you’ll also have access to the Play Store and access to regular Android apps, which means you can also use apps while you emulate games. Jide’s example is talking trash to a friend in your favorite chat app while you’re dominating them in Clash Royale, and if you’re the competitive type, this is something that just might happen. Since this is an emulator, this is the simplest way to get Remix OS on your PC as the other Remix OS for PC option requires you to actually install the OS itself, or use the bootable flash drive method. With this emulator, everything is opening up in a virtual window so it’s not really any different from running a program. Remix OS Player is available to download now if you’re wanting to give Remix OS a try.
