Google has an event planned for next week on October 4 and one which looks to be shaping up as one of the most interesting events of the year and even one of the most interesting Google events so far. However, it does seem clear that while a number of products will be shown off at the event, the two that most consumers and the media will be interested in – is the two new smartphones, the Pixel and the Pixel XL.
Both of these smartphones have been the subject of a number of leaks over the recent weeks and months and in spite of the event closing in, it does not look as though the leaks are anywhere near over. The latest of which has now come through from none-other than known tipster @OnLeaks. To be clear, this is not so much a leak, but is a 360-degree render video that has been put together by @OnLeaks. However, what makes this one worth paying attention to is that @OnLeaks does point out that the 3D render video is based off of factory CAD images of the Pixel XL. Either way, the video does provide a much more all-round perspective of the Pixel XL. One which is far more insightful than the general flat front or rear-facing image leaks that have come through so far.
For those unaware, the Pixel XL is expected to be the more flagship device of the two Pixel phones. Both will adopt a similar design and presentation as well as quite an overlap between the specs. However, it is believed that the Pixel XL will make use of some notable improvements over the Pixel including a 5.5-inch QHD display (in contrast to the Pixel’s 5-inch 1080p display) and a 3,450 mAh battery (in contrast to the Pixel’s 2,770 mAh battery). As well as some notable differences in the actual build quality, with the assumption being that while they will look the same, they won’t be the same.
Either way, with the event scheduled to take place in just a few days time, all of the details on both the Pixel phones as well as everything else that is expected to be launched and/or announced will become known.
