Yet another leaked render has surfaced of the Google Pixel, one half of the upcoming Pixel smartphone lineup coming from Google this year. While leaked renders are certainly nothing compared to fairly decent resolution shots of the front and back of the Pixel and Pixel XL, they do at the very least increase the already likely possibility that all of the leaked images prior to now have been pretty much spot on as far as the design of the devices go. Although this is stated to be a render of the Pixel, numerous leaks already show that the Pixel and Pixel XL will look identical in terms of design simply with different sized displays.
This leaked render follows a set of renders for both the Pixel and Pixel XL that were leaked out earlier this morning, although it is worth noting that colors for the devices used in those renders may not be exactly what consumers can expect for the colors of the phones when officially launched. This latest render, which shows off the phone from the front, showcases the new Pixel launcher that can already be installed on devices as its download was leaked earlier this month.
The new launcher comes complete with the Google “G” button in the top left corner of the screen which allows the user to access the Google Now page, as well as the newly designed app drawer that can be accessed from the up arrow button that sits above the app shortcuts the bottom of the display. The Google Pixel is rumored to start at a base cost of $649 for the lowest storage space model, which is said to be 32GB, and come with a 5-inch Full HD display, as well as 4GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. The Pixel will allegedly be coming with 12MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, and have an integrated fingerprint sensor on the back, along with a 2,770mAh battery inside, with the device potentially running on Android 7.1 software. Both the Pixel and the Pixel XL are also rumored not to be waterproof as they may only come with an IP53 rating.
