The Lenovo PHAB2 Pro was first announced at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 conference in early June. The PHAB2 Pro happens to be the world’s first ‘Tango‘ (originally dubbed ‘Project Tango’) smartphone and was scheduled to hit the market by this Summer but it seems like that won’t be happening as the arrival of Tango’s first smartphone to the market has been delayed.
Instead of it being launched in Summer, the launch date in countries has been pushed to Fall, with no specific date in sight. On top of that, the Chinese company won’t be making the PHAB2 Pro available in some countries, which were originally under consideration for a release. This is due to the fact that Lenovo wants to focus on countries where it already has a solid presence in, such as Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. The PHAB2 Pro will be launched in those countries as early as next month. However, the device will not be making its way to Australia as previously planned. On Lenovo’s US online store, the release tag has been changed from “Summer” to “Fall”.
