Meizu Unveils A 3GB RAM Model Of The Meizu MX6

Meizu had introduced quite a few of smartphones this year, and the Meizu MX6 is one of those handsets. This smartphone is one of the most powerful devices Meizu had ever introduced, and even though it’s not the company’s flagship for 2016, it’s a very compelling handset, and close to the Meizu PRO 6 in terms of both specs and the design. That being said, the Meizu MX6 comes with 4GB of RAM and it was announced back in July. Well, the company has decided to introduce yet another variant of this smartphone, read on.

This new version of the Meizu MX6 looks identical to the original, and aside from having less RAM, its specifications are also identical. The new Meizu MX6 variant comes with 3GB of RAM, unlike the original. The original Meizu MX6 handset was launched with a price tag of 1,999 Yuan ($300), while this new model costs 1,7999 Yuan ($270) in China. The Meizu MX6 is a metal-clad smartphone which sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and a 3,060mAh battery comes included here, and you also get fast charging. The 12-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Meizu MX6, and a 5-megapixel snapper is included on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Meizu MX6, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Meizu’s software, the so-called Flyme UI. The Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of the device, where you’ll find the device’s loudspeaker as well. The Meizu MX6 measures 153.6 x 75.2 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 155 grams.

This smartphone resembles the rest of Meizu’s 2015 and 2016 lineup, it is made out of metal, while it ships with a physical home key which is placed below the phone’s display. This is actually a multifunctional key, as it functions not only as a physical home key (when physically pressed), but also as a capacitive back key and a fingerprint scanner. This smartphone will go on sale starting October 1st, and if you live in China you’ll be able to purchase it through the company’s official store, or via third party shops (Lynx or JD.com).
