Pokémon GO Plus Comes To Canadian Retailer

Pokémon GO, an AR-based smartphone game that require players to explore real world locations to catch Pokémon, has broken many records as far as smartphone gaming is concerned. While the craze for this staggeringly popular game has somewhat decreased, the company behind the game, Niantic, has been trying to retain its die-hard fans by adding new features and functionalities in the game lately. Now in one more move to please its dedicated players, the company has launched its much-awaited accessory called the Pokémon GO Plus recently.

The Pokémon GO Plus went on sale in most of the markets just earlier this week, and it looks like the accessory is doing quite well on the business front so far as it already went out of the stock in the U.S. in just a matter of hours after the device went live for sale on both Amazon and at GameStop. While the U.S. fans will have to wait a bit for the next batch of Pokémon GO Plus units, now the device has also gone up for sale in Canada as well. Fans of the game residing in Canada can now pick up the accessory from the video game and software retailer, EB games, at the price of $44.99 (CAD) per device. As already mentioned, the accessory is selling quickly so those planning to buy one will likely want to grab one fast before stock runs out. The Pokémon GO Plus is a small tear-drop shaped accessory that can be worn as a bracelet or clipped onto clothes. The device, once connected to Pokémon GO via Bluetooth, serves the user with real-time notifications by vibrating and blinking an LED light whenever a user is near a PokéStop or when a Pokémon is nearby, all without needing to pull the smartphone out of the pocket.

Those worried about battery drain from Pokémon GO will appreciate the Pokémon GO Plus now that they can find and catch Pokémon without pulling their smartphones out of their pocket, thus saving important battery life. Niantic had originally planned to launch this accessory along with the Pokémon GO , but ended up having to postpone the launch.
