It was originally rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 would be put back on shelves in late October, but it appears that rumor isn’t true as it was reported earlier today, that Verizon Wireless has already started selling the new Galaxy Note 7 units on its website. All of the new units come with the new battery which is not faulty, unlike the previous one which sparked a massive recall by Samsung. Well, it seems like Verizon is not the only carrier in the US to do so, as Sprint has recently listed the Galaxy Note 7 for purchase on its website as well.
Just like Verizon, Sprint has units in various colors available for shipping today without any indication of a shipping delay. On top of that, all of its units have been approved by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as safe. If you are a Sprint customer and looking to purchase a brand new unit for yourself, you may do so by heading over to Sprint’s website through the source link below. This comes after Samsung announced yesterday that its first batch of replenishment stock will be sent out to retailers and carriers by September 21, providing 500,000 safe and new Galaxy Note 7 devices to its customers.
As for the other two major carriers, T-Mobile and AT&T, both carriers will be commencing its exchange programs for all affected Galaxy Note 7 users. According to a statement on T-Mobile’s website, all Galaxy Note 7 owners may head to their nearest T-Mobile retail store starting today (September 21) and receive a brand new Galaxy Note 7. However, the carrier also states that it will not be able to transfer customers data or contacts from the old unit to the replacement one as CPSC guidelines tied to the recall do not permit them to do so. As for AT&T customers, the carrier has stated that it has new units in its inventory for customers who purchased the Galaxy Note 7 before September 15, but requests that customers select their preferred Note 7 color to see which stores nearby have it in stock. It is likely that other major carriers in the US will follow Verizon and Sprint, and list the Galaxy Note 7 for purchase on their respective websites soon.
