Video: Can Nokia 3310 & Uhans A101 Survive A 50-Foot Fall?

Uhans is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that most of you probably never heard of. This company hasn’t been around for that long, but they’ve released a number of devices up to this point. Most of those devices are entry-level smartphones, though Uhans did introduce some mid-range offerings as well. That being said, one of the company’s latest devices is the Uhans A101, a smartphone that we’ve already talked about. This handset is more or less a tribute to Nokia, and the company has just released yet another video where it compares the Uhans A101 to the Nokia 3310, read on.

The Nokia 3310 is considered to be a very durable smartphone, not because it was built to be a rugged phone, but because of its quality. People have been dropping Nokia 3310 handsets for years, and usually the phone is just fine after you put it back together. Well, Uhans wanted to prove that the Uhans A101 is just as durable, even though it’s not a rugged device. The company has decided to drop both devices from 50 feet and see what happens. If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you’ll notice that the Nokia 3310 was dead after the fall, even when Uhans put it back together, they were unable to turn the phone back on. The Uhans A101, on the other hand, was able to boot up, and its display also worked just fine, even though the glass on top of the display did not exactly survive the fall. This is kind of an interesting video, mostly because none of these devices are actually made to be dropped from 50 feet.

Now, the Uhans A101 is an entry-level smartphone. This device sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6737 64-bit quad-core processor, while it packs in a 2,450mAh battery. The 5-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this smartphone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here. This is a dual SIM smartphone which sports three capacitive buttons below the display, as you can see in the provided image. The Uhans A101 costs only $55.99 at the moment, and if you’re interested in getting one, follow the source link down below.
