The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to launch in the coming weeks. This will be Xiaomi’s new flagship phablet, a successor to the Mi Note units that were introduced back in January last year. As many of you know, Xiaomi had already introduced a flagship smartphone for 2016, the Mi 5, and the Mi Note 2 won’t exactly compete with that device, as this will be a considerably larger phone. In any case, we’ve seen tons of Mi Note 2 rumors and leaks thus far, so many that it’s hard to know which ones are legit, and a new leak actually just surfaced, read on.
Now, some Xiaomi users already found the 3D Touch feature built into their phones, even though the hardware does not support it, and this, of course, indicates that Xiaomi is getting ready to release a pressure sensitive display handset. The 3D Touch feature is hidden in the system, as you can see in the images down below, and people have been wondering which Xiaomi-branded device will ship with a 3D Touch-enabled display. Well, it will be either the rumored Xiaomi Mi 5S, or the upcoming Mi Note 2. The Xiaomi Mi 5S has been rumored for quite some time now, but we really don’t have any specific information when it comes to this smartphone, and have no idea when it might launch. The Mi Note 2, on the other hand, is expected to land before the end of this month, if reports are to be believed, and it seems logical that Xiaomi might utilize 3D Touch feature on the Mi Note 2 by including a 3D Touch-enabled display.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will, if rumors are to be believed, feature a 5.7-inch fullHD / QHD display (both variants have been rumored), 4GB / 6GB of RAM and multiple internal storage options. The device is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 820 or 821 64-bit quad-core SoC, while it will probably come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS available on top of it, though we’re still not sure. Xiaomi is actually expected to announce Mi Note 2’s press event soon, at least if reports are to be believed, so stay tuned.
