Google Flights Now Alerts you About Price Increases

Google has always been a great tool for planning a trip – whether it was for business or pleasure. And today, Google Flights just got a bit better for booking flights. Google announced that today they will begin notifying you of when flight prices will likely increase. This is a feature that Kayak has already had for quite some time. Where it would tell you that the flight you’ve searched for may increase or decrease in the next three days. So now in addition to seeing what prices would be if you left or flew back on different days, you’ll also be able to see if the price will increase in the next three days. Google also shows you how much it’ll likely increase by. Which is also a pretty impressive feature, to be honest.

Not only will Google show you when prices will increase, but it will also email you when prices have increased. Of course, this only works for flights that you have searched. For instance, if you searched for a flight from San Francisco to New York City (JFK), and the price increased, you would receive an email from Google showing what the price was and what it is now. Google Flights now does the same thing for hotels, making the search engine a great place to book your next trip, no matter where you are planning on going. There is also an “Explore” tab that will help you choose a destination to go to on holiday and such.

These updates to Google Flights are now available worldwide, and not just in the US. It’s a great tool to use to book your next flight, although there is no shortage on websites to use to book flights, Google may be the best one to use, seeing as they have many tools available, all of which are built on the data they have collected from you and many other people searching for flights, and other vacation information. This is why it’s important for Google to grab all of this information from their users. You can use the updated interface at google.com/flights.
