Huawei's TV Ad Teases Great Battery Life For The Mate 9

The Huawei Mate 9 is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated handsets of the year. Xiaomi had recently introduced two flagship phablets, the Mi Note 2 and Mi MIX, and even though those are great devices, chances are that they won’t be available in that many markets, at least not officially, especially the Mi MIX. In comes Huawei, this company is currently the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, and their Mate 8 phablet which was introduced last year was quite popular, and the company is expecting that the same will happen for the Mate 9 as well.

The Huawei Mate 9 is going to be announced on November 3rd in Munich, Germany, the company had already confirmed that. In addition to that, Huawei had released a couple of official teaser images for their upcoming phablet, and now, the company has released a promo video as well. This promo video, which you can check out down below, teases great battery life for the Huawei Mate 9. Huawei basically interviewed a number of people out in the street asking them about their smartphone and are they happy with its battery life. One of the people Huawei interviewed said the following “You know the moment when your battery jumps from 40% to 21% and then it turns off all of a sudden?”, and Huawei went on to interview a couple of other people before they teased the November 3rd event. Now, Huawei did not mention the Mate 9 in this commercial, but they did confirm that the phablet is coming on November 3rd by releasing an image teaser yesterday, an image which has a huge number ‘9’ in the middle of it, and it also confirms that a ‘Mate’ device is coming.

If rumors and leaks are to be believed, Huawei is actually planning to introduce two variants of the Huawei Mate 9, a regular variant with a flat screen and no physical home button, and the ‘Pro’ variant which will ship with both a hardware key below the display and a curved display. Do take this info with a grain of salt though, as we’re basing this info on recently leaked renders, it is possible that we might see only a device with a flat display, and no physical home key, as Huawei prefers to include on-screen buttons. The Mate 9 will be fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is Huawei newest flagship processor.
