Leak: Images Have Surfaced Of The Alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2

There have already been a couple of leaks today regarding the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, with two separate teasers that were posted up to the Chinese micro-blogging website Sina Weibo. Now, a set of live images of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has allegedly leaked, showcasing what the phone may actually look like. The images are dark, so it’s not easy to make out a lot of detail about the outer design of the phone, but it is possible to distinguish what looks like a curved display, one of the physical characteristics that has been recently rumored to be part of the device.

The device in the images appears to be on the about phone screen, showing that it’s running on MIUI 8 which is Xiaomi’s most recent version of the Android software that’s based on Android Marshmallow. This new leak follows another leak from earlier this morning which teases that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may come with dual rear-facing cameras. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumored to come equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD display using the AMOLED panel technology, and it’s also rumored to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, which would be paired with the Adreno 530 GPU for the graphics processing.

When it comes to the RAM for the device, previous rumors have stated that there could be two available options, one with 4GB of RAM and one with 8GB of RAM. The internal storage corresponding to those two options is said to be 128GB and 256GB for internal storage respectively, although it’s important to keep in mind that these are just rumors, and there has never been a phone released with 256GB of internal storage space before. Other rumors speculate features for the display such as Force Touch, and it’s said that Xiaomi is planning two 16MP sensors for the dual rear camera setup, while the front-facing camera would be 5MP. As for the battery, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is thought to be coming with a 4,000mAh battery inside. There is still no confirmation from Xiaomi on a release date for the Mi Note 2, nor have they officially announced the device itself, but the phone is expected to be launched sometime next month.
