Leaked Images Surface Of Alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 Device

Xiaomi had unveiled its flagship device, the Mi 5, back in February this year which later went on sale in April this year and now it looks like the company is now preparing for a successor to its flagship device – which according to rumors, would be called Mi 6, as couple of leaked images of the Mi 6 device have now started surfacing on the Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo, just recently.

As you can see in the images – see below the post, the device in question is a black model and appears to be a quite premium smartphone. Looking at the back of the device, we can see that the camera sensor and dual-tone LED flash are placed on the top right corner – similar in fashion to the recently released Pixel phones, and Mi branding can be seen on the lower bottom of the device. On the front side, there is a physical home button placed beneath the main screen which also seems to be housing a fingerprint sensor built-in, while up on the top, the front camera can be found sitting beside the earpiece. That’s pretty much it as of now regarding this upcoming device, as these are the only images available of the rumored upcoming smartphone. While there are no details available regarding possible specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 6, it’s entirely possible that the Mi 6 will be sporting a QHD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC under the hood, as the Snapdragon 830 may not be out anytime soon.

On top of that, it should be noted that this device is not likely to be unveiled in the near future as just a few weeks ago Xiaomi launched the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. Xiaomi unveiled these two new smartphones last month, packing top of the line features and hardware inside. For a quick rundown, the Mi 5S sports a 5.15-inch screen while the Mi 5S Plus sports a 5.7-inch screen with the same Full HD resolution. Both devices are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 64-bit CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU fpr the graphics processing, and are available for purchase in China at attractive prices.
