Last night, we finally got to see the wrath of Negan in the first episode of the seventh season of the popular zombie drama – The Walking Dead. Don’t worry, no spoilers are included here. Having said that, fans of the series will appreciate the new content that is coming to the tie-in game called The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land. Its developers over at studio Next Games, as it turns out, are getting ready to release a whole bunch of new in-game content based on the seventh season of AMC’s popular show.
The studio confirmed that new heroes and a lot of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage will be rolling out in the coming weeks, adding that it’s also working on other content which will be announced at a later date. This content will be added to the game every Monday as AMC airs new episodes of The Walking Dead. The first such update has already released simultaneously with the season seven premiere and it features exclusive missions which award players with the ability to recruit Negan to their team. Next Games also used this opportunity to streamline some user interface aspects and raised the maximum Council level by one. All in all, the general idea is to update The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land with new characters, weapons, and armor simultaneously with their TV debuts. As the seventh season of The Walking Dead features 16 episodes, expect 15 more updates in the coming months.
This is certainly great news for serious mobile gamers seeing how The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is already one of the best Android strategies on the Play Store and more in-game content can hardly be a bad thing. Latest reports suggest that the game already boasts up to 10 million Android installs though there’s no doubt that not everyone is still actively playing it given how The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land debuted over a year ago. New playable characters aside, the addition of behind-the-scenes production videos from the TV show is certainly an interesting one as it has the potential to attract even more The Walking Dead fans to Next Games’ mobile title.
