Xiaomi had introduced two premium smartphones quite recently, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. Now, as many of you know, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is right around the corner, the company’s event spokesperson basically confirmed that the device will launch on October 25th, so the launch of the Mi 5s Plus doesn’t make all that much sense, unless Xiaomi plans to attach a premium price to the Mi Note 2 as the rumors are suggesting, in which case the Mi 5s Plus can remain a more affordable alternative to the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
That being said, we’ve seen tons of rumors and leaks when the Mi Note 2 is concerned, tons of different designs of this smartphone surfaced, and now we have yet another such design to share with you. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see two new alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2 renders, and these renders even look plausible, unlike some other ones we’ve seen recently. These renders suggest that the Mi Note 2 will sport both a curved front and back, as we’ve expected, the phone will ship with a curved display, similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Vivo XPlay 5, while the company will also include a curve on the back, which is something we’ve already seen on a couple of their devices, mainly the Mi Note (Pro) and Mi 5. This phone will be made out of metal and glass it seems, though a ceramic back variant of the Mi Note 2 is also a possibility, mainly because Xiaomi had included such a back cover on the highest-end Mi 5 variant. The earpiece seems to sport an interesting design in this render, and the device will sport two rear-facing camera sensors it seems, as rumors have been suggesting. The 3.5mm headphone jack is clearly visible on the phone’s top side, which is surely a relief for some of you, presuming these renders are legit, of course.
Now, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display, along with 6GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor, and two 12-megapixel or 13-megapixel camera sensors will be placed on the back of this phablet. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 operating system.
