Pandora Gets A Rebrand Alongside US Pandora Plus Launch

Pandora’s upcoming Plus service is now live in the US for those who have been considering a subscription to it. Should you fall into that category of consumers looking for a new or first-time streaming music service, Pandora Plus will cost you $4.99 a month, and aside from delivering the obvious feature of ad-free music playback and unlimited track skips, it comes with a whole new look as Pandora not only reinvents their subscription-based streaming music model (previously Pandora One), but also a reinvented design to go along with it. Part of that new look, the design direction at least, can be seen in the image above, but Pandora also has a video posted up to YouTube on their “Pandora Rebrand” page which showcases a little bit more about the new look, which includes a new logo icon as well.

The rebrand is something that all Pandora users will see likely after the app has been updated on their device as it’s not limited to just Pandora Plus. Pandora explains that the reason for implementing a new brand is so that they can continue to evolve along with their service to give users a fresh experience with the continued quality delivery of streaming music that users love about them.

Pandora states that their new look focuses on the “dynamic range of sound and color” which is aimed at delivering a visual experience of the emotion that goes into creating music as well as emotions that people feel when listening to different tracks. Pandora also mentions that the new look will be coming to both ad-supported listeners and Pandora Plus listeners starting from today, while they’ll be looking to roll it out to other device types and the web platform throughout the year. This means you should be able to see the new design on your device if you have the app installed, although as mentioned above you may need to update the app first, so this is something worth checking out if you aren’t seeing the new design right away. If this is your first time hearing about Pandora Plus, the service is live now so you’re able to set it up if you feel like giving it a shot.
