Earlier this year, Samsung debuted half a dozen new smartphone accessories in its home country of South Korea. Today, the company announced that these offerings will soon roll out to many other territories as online exclusives. In other words, you won’t be able to purchase them at brick-and-mortar stores. That isn’t to say Samsung will be selling the upcoming accessories on its own. In fact, the largest smartphone maker on the planet already revealed that it’s planning to partner with major online retailers throughout the world in order to bring these accessories to consumers.
As for the products themselves, there’s six of them and most have been designed to operate wirelessly. There’s a Wireless Speaker Bottle which boasts 360-degree surround support, can be charged wirelessly, and is compatible with the Samsung Lux Manager. This is the most premium offering out of the bunch and will set you back approximately $80. If that sounds too expensive, the company is also getting ready to release a Wireless Speaker Scoop priced at $50. This circular device is equipped with a microphone and a strap so that you can attach it to your bag or a piece of clothing and enjoy music on the go. Other than that, Samsung is also bringing its Wireless Charger Tray to the West. As the name suggests, this device boasts a minimalistic design and is capable of simultaneously charging two devices. The charger is going to be priced at about $60.
Regarding non-wireless offerings, the tech giant unveiled a Battery Pack Kettle which will be offered in two variants; a 5,100mAh one priced at around $26 and a 10,200mAh battery which will retail for approximately $35. Why would you need such a powerful power bank? Well, to fuel Samsung’s upcoming USB LED Light, of course. This portable lamp will retail for $10, and you’ll be able to charge it using a regular USB cable. Last but not least, the company also confirmed that it’s bringing its latest In-ear Headphones Rectangle to the West. This audio accessory boasts a tangle-proof cable and will retail for under $30.
All of these mobile accessories will hit samsung.com and several other major online retailers in early November. There’s still no word on whether the aforementioned prices include shipping costs, but it would probably be wise to assume they don’t.
