The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is one of the best smartphones of this year, but unfortunately for Samsung, things did not go according to plan. Soon after the company had started shipping the Galaxy Note 7 units, reports started coming in regarding various explosions of their devices. It turns out that a number of Galaxy Note 7 units had issues with their batteries which caused them to explode while charging. Samsung was forced to recall the Galaxy Note 7 units, which hurt them financially, and the company is still dealing with that whole situation, as a second recall is possible according to two former US safety officials, though that’s highly unlikely to happen.
That being said, some of you are probably wondering what it looks like when a Galaxy Note 7 unit explodes, well, thanks to images released by the Applied Energy Hub battery laboratory in Singapore, you can now see that for yourself. Take a look at the gallery down below in order to check out the images showing off the explosion of the Galaxy Note 7, this occurred after researched applied pressure on a fully charged Galaxy Note 7 in order to see how much pressure can the phone withstand before blowing up. They have gradually increased the applied pressure, and once the limit was reached, the device went up in flames, as you can see in the provided images. Now, we don’t know whether this is a malfunctioning unit or not, such tests are definitely necessary in order to see how far can the device go before problems occur, so this could be any unit really, as we don’t know how much pressure did people over at the Applied Energy Hub applied to this unit (every phone has a limit, of course).
