Xiaomi Unveils Mi Note 2 With A Curved Display & 6GB Of RAM

Xiaomi had introduced three high-end smartphones this year, the Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. The company had actually introduced quite a few phones in general, but these three devices definitely stand out from the rest of the pack. That being said, we’ve been waiting for Xiaomi to introduce their pride and joy, the most powerful device in their lineup, and that has just happened, as promised, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has landed after over 1.5 years of waiting (the original Mi Note and its ‘Pro’ counterpart were announced back in January last year). In any case, let’s see what the Mi Note 2 has to offer, shall we.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is made out of metal and glass, and its glass panels are curved both on its back and front side, this is called a ‘3D Glass’ design, according to Xiaomi. The frame of the device is made out of metal, as expected. The Xiaomi Mi Note sports a physical home key below the display, and that key doubles as a fingerprint scanner. You’ll notice that the phone’s power / lock and volume rocker keys are located on its right-hand side, while the SIM card tray is placed on the left side of the device. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a 5.7-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) curved AMOLED display, along with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor fuels the Mi Note 2, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 22.5-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX318 sensor) is placed on the back of this smartphone, while you’ll notice an 8-megapixel shooter on the phone’s front side. The 4,070mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is also included here. The phone also support 24-bit Hi-Fi sound, comes with global 4G LTE bands (37 bands), which are certainly great news. The phone comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and the company’s MIUI 8 OS is installed on top of it.
