The Bluboo Edge is the latest smartphone that is due to be released by Bluboo Mobile and over the last few weeks has been the subject of a number of leaks and details being made public. However, there have been no firm details on when the Bluboo Edge would actually become available to pre-order. That has now changed though, as Bluboo is now confirming that the Bluboo Edge will be available to pre-order starting from November 10. In fact, just ahead of that launch date, Bluboo has also now made available the official launch video, which highlights many of the key benefits on offer with this latest smartphone. As a number of the spec details had already been confirmed prior to this video, this new video offers more of an overview of what is on offer with the Bluboo Edge.
For instance, the biggest unique feature with the Bluboo Edge is its use of a curved-design, with the front and back of the device sporting curvy edges. An aspect which is designed to make it both visually appealing and also comfortable to hold. Bluboo had already confirmed that CNC cutting and polishing was used to help unify the smartphone design aspects and to offer a more smooth and seamless finish. As well as the curved edges, this is a smartphone which makes use of very narrow bezels, which measure only 0.8 mm. Which coupled with the extra detail paid to the nano molding process, the overall impact of the device is solid, yet sleek. Not forgetting of course, the Bluboo Edge is just as functional and it is design-focused, as this is a smartphone which comes packing a heart rate sensor to allow for heart rate monitoring and feedback in real time.
In terms of the more basic and already-confirmed specs, the Bluboo Edge is a smartphone which comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display with a HD resolution and OGS technology. Inside, this is a smartphone which packs 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor (clocked at 1.3 GHz). The rear camera is a 13-megapixel camera while the front-facing option consists of an 8-megapixel sensor. Additional features include a fingerprint sensor, the already-noted heart rate sensor, memory expansion via microSD (up to 256GB) and more.
In terms of the pre-orders, as mentioned the Bluboo Edge will become available to order starting from November 10, with the pre-order phase remaining in place until November 24. Bluboo Mobile has confirmed that they will be running various promotions during the pre-order period where some people will be able to get hold of the Bluboo Edge For free. The Bluboo Edge is expected to retail for $139.99, however, during the pre-order phase (up until November 24), the smartphone will be available for only $129.99.
