Bluboo Mobile has been releasing a number of phones recently that are not only competitively-priced, but also come with a good build, good specs and/or unique selling features. The latest of which, adopts a very familiar design. This is the Bluboo Edge and is a smartphone that is expected to be released sometime in November. Following the initial understanding that Bluboo has an Edge smartphone on its way, it now seems as though the company has released a new video and one which shows off the smartphone’s display in more detail.
As the name of this one suggests, the Bluboo Edge is a smartphone which includes a unique curved display, much like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Besides the design though, what are the similarities and differences between the two device displays? Well, the Bluboo Edge display adopts Gorilla Glass 4 as the basis of its display material. The benefit of this is a greater degree of strength and durability. Of course, any display which does make use of such a unique design trait is always going to be susceptible to being more brittle towards those edges. As a result and to try and compensate for this, Bluboo has thickened the touch panel with a view to making it stronger, more solid and more durable. In addition, the Bluboo Edge comes equipped with a dual-layer design which further adds stability, sensitivity and results in a more accurate touch experience compared to a single-layer panel. Not forgetting of course, that the Bluboo Edge also makes use of five-point touch support, which in itself will offer a more accurate and responsive touch experience, which will likely be most notable when playing games and so on.
In terms of the price, Bluboo has confirmed that the Bluboo Edge will be available to pre-order for the super-low price of $99.99. Although unfortunately, Bluboo has yet to formally announce when pre-orders for the Bluboo Edge will commence. Although more information on that should come through in due course.
