Any.do is one of those to-do list apps that has been around for quite some time. Since around 2010 actually. It’s gotten better with each update, which is how many apps work these days. With the big upgrade to version 4.0 however, Any.do included quite a few new features. Including a new assistant. This assistant, aptly named “The Any.do Assistant”, brings artificial intelligence as well as clever humans into your to-do list. Any.do says that they make it a more personal and useful experience. They have “analyzed over one billion anonymized tasks” and built a new type of assistant that can do your tasks for you. Now this doesn’t mean it can do the tasks you don’t want to do, but it can scan your list and selectively mark tasks that it can get done in the real world.
The assistant may be the biggest feature in this update, but that’s not all that Any.do has added. There’s now a Calendar included. This makes it easy to decide on due dates for your tasks. Say you have something that needs to be done no later than next Friday. With this new version of Any.do you’ll be able to see that next Friday is November 25th, and can set a due date of November 25th for that task. It’s something simple, but very effective. The calendar also allows you to see what other tasks you have due on that day. The last big feature in this update is “Lightning Fast Sync”. Like most to-do list apps, Any.do does sync across different platforms. This is useful as you can use Any.do in the browser, on your tablets and smartphones. Now syncing has just gotten even faster. It’s actually done in real-time, so it can’t really get any faster.
Those that use Any.do can download the new version of their app in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, it’s available on both platforms today. For those that have not used Any.do just yet, you can try it out, it is a free app and service. Some of the more useful services are part of Any.do Premium which will cost you $26.99/year or $2.99/month.
