The Huawei Mate 8 has been introduced back in November last year as the company’s flagship phablet, and despite the fact it has been almost a year since it was released, it’s still a very compelling smartphone. That being said, its successor, the Huawei Mate 9, has been leaking for months now, but leaks have intensified in the last week or two, mainly because its release date is right around the corner. Huawei had published some teaser images, and even a teaser video, while the company had also confirmed that the device will be introduced on November 3rd in Munich, Germany.
We have seen two separate Huawei Mate 9 leaks a couple of hours ago, both of which have shown off real life images of the upcoming device. Well, we’re back at it again, as a new image just surfaced, along with some additional info. This time around we’re looking at a leaked render of the Huawei Mate 9, and this leak comes to us from Netherlands it seems. This image goes hand-in-hand with the leaked images we’ve seen earlier, we’re looking at the same design here. The Huawei Mate 9 will be made out of metal, while the company’s branding is placed below the phone’s display. The power / lock and volume rocker buttons can be found on the right-hand side of this phablet, which probably means that the SIM card tray will be placed on the left. In addition to this image, the source said that the Huawei Mate 9 will ship with a 5.9-inch display, and not the 5.7-inch panel that most rumors have been suggesting. The source also says that we can expect to see Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and the company’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin will be installed on top of Google’s operating system. As far as camera sensors are concerned, a couple of leaks suggested that the Mate 9 will sport both a 20-megapixel and a 12-megapixel snapper on the back, and the source agrees with that.
In addition to all this, the Huawei Mate 9 will probably ship with Huawei’s Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, which is their new flagship SoC. The company’s latest teaser said that the Mate 9 will offer great battery life, which probably means that we’ll see a rather big battery pack inside of this phone, probably over 4,000mAh.
