Over the last few days, Meizu’s unreleased M5 Note has shown up in a couple of different benchmarks, once on AnTuTu and once over at the Geekbench website, and both times showcasing that the device is to be powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 processor, as well as come with 3GB of RAM. Now, a new set of leaked images has appeared that are allegedly of the Meizu M5 Note, showing off what looks like metal for the body material and a familiar design language that tends to be used by Meizu in many of their other smartphones.
The three images below show two different shots of the backside of the smartphone, one in landscape view and another in portrait view, and there is one image showing off what is likely the bottom of the phone which looks to house some of the phone’s open ports, including the charging port which looks like USB Type-C, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack for plugging in headphones. This particular image also shows what look to be holes for the speakers (or speaker, if there only ends up being one), suggesting that Meizu is planning for a bottom placement of the audio output for this device.
Since these are just leaks, there is no way to confirm that these are in fact of the Meizu M5 Note, or that this design will be the final design for the phone if they are. That being said, there is a chance that Meizu could unveil the phone in the near future, so it might not be too long of a wait to find out just exactly what the phone looks like, and how it will differ from past iterations of the phone in the series. Alongside the Helio P10 and 3GB of RAM, the Meizu M5 Note is rumored to also come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, carry a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, and have a Full HD display as well as 32GB of internal storage space. Although an unveiling of the phone could be happening in the near future, there is still no confirmation from Meizu about the phone, nor is there an exact date for a potential announcement.
