Lenovo first announced the Lenovo K6 Power alongside two other smartphones, the Lenovo K6 and Lenovo K6 Note back at IFA which was held in September 2016. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has brought the Lenovo K6 Power to the shores of India, after having teased its launch through a tweet from its official account on Twitter just last week.
When it comes to the specs of the Lenovo K6 Power, the device sports similar specifications to the Lenovo K6, except for a bigger battery. The device comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, and under the hood it packs a Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with an Adreno 430 GPU to handle graphics. Memory wise, it comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage respectively, though the one which will be available in India is the 3GB of RAM version. Both storage flavors allow for storage expansion of up to 128GB via the microSD card slot located on the device. For optics, a 13-megapixel camera coupled with an LED flash can be found on the rear of the device, while an 8-megapixel sensor is present on the front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Lenovo’s Vibe UI laid on top is featured on the device and it also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear.
The main selling point of this dual-SIM device is the 4,000 mAh battery encased within the device which Lenovo promises will provide up to 96.5 hours of music playback, 12.6 hours of web surfing and 27 days of standby time. On top of that, the battery supports USB OTG reverse charging, allowing users to charge other devices with the Lenovo K6 Power. Connectivity options of the Lenovo K6 Power includes 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, FM radio, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS. The device is priced at Rs. 9,999 ($145), and will be made available for purchase exclusively from Flipkart in an open sale which will start at 12pm IST on December 6.
