Samsung’s Blue Coral color for devices was initially reserved for the Galaxy Note 7, but given that they had to formally recall the device and stop manufacturing it, the decision was made to instead release it as a new color for the Galaxy S7 Edge. This is not new information as the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge has been confirmed for a little while now, but the device has not yet made its way to store shelves. AT&T’s Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge, for example, starts shipping to those who purchased it on November 18th, which is still nine days away, and while there have been press renders of the device that have surfaced since the confirmation, these unboxing shots from a customer who purchased the device internationally give a much better idea of what the phone will look like in person.
While there are quite a few images here showing off the phone from a few different angles, it’s worth noting that these are not the first live shots of the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge, as a few of them popped up back on November 3rd. That said, there were only thre of those pictures at the time, and here you can see the device in almost five times as many photos. Now, there is nothing internally different about the Galaxy S7 Edge in this color from the other color variations unless you’re comparing the U.S. model which does not come with dual SIM capability, so all that’s changed is that there is a new color available to pick up.
Chances are, though, that many people will find the Blue Coral model to be the most appealing, and something new and fresh like this new device color might not be such a bad thing for all the customers that had to return their Galaxy Note 7 devices. If you’re planning on picking up the Blue Coral version of the Galaxy S7 Edge, you’ll be able to do so at AT&T either through their online shop or in a local retail store. The device should also end up being available at other carriers in the US as well, but so far AT&T has been the only one to confirm that they would be selling this color of the phone.
