Xiaomi had recently introduced two high-end phablets, the Mi Note 2 and Mi MIX. The Mi Note 2 is the company’s long-awaited flagship phablet, while the Mi MIX managed to surprise quite a few people. This is also a high-end phablet, but unlike the Mi Note 2, it sports a bezel-less display. The device comes with a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, and it beats even Sharp’s ‘bezel-less’ offerings, it has a considerably smaller chin below the display, and there are basically no bezels around the display, expect on the bottom, of course.

As we’re taking a look at the Mi MIX and compiling our review, we have some new Mi MIX news to share with you, as the phone just got dismantled in China. The Mi MIX is a truly beautiful piece of hardware, and some of you are probably interested to see what lies on the inside, well, if you are, then you might want to take a look at the gallery down below. The shared images basically show off the teardown process step-by-step, and the first step is to remove the phone’s ceramic back cover, which you can do using a suction cup, which is exactly how you can remove the back cover on the Mi 5 as well. Surprisingly enough, this device was not as difficult to tear apart as we thought, though it’s definitely not the easiest one to repair out there, of course.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX sports a 6.4-inch 2040 x 1080 IPS display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 16-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of this device, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on it along with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS. This is a dual SIM smartphone, and a 4,400mAh battery is also a part of this package. The Mi MIX comes in a Black color variant only, at least for now, and it will not be available outside of China, at least according to Xiaomi’s recent remarks.
