ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom Gets Certified, Dual Camera Setup In Tow

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the most powerful ASUS-branded smartphone released this year. This device was introduced earlier this year alongside the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra smartphones, and the company actually introduced some additional ZenFone 3 offerings since then as well. Having that in mind, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom (ZE553KL) got certified by Bluetooth SIG quite recently, and the device just popped up on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) as well, read on.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom will be the first ASUS-branded smartphone to sport a dual camera setup on the back it seems, at least if TENAA is to be believed. Now, some of you might know that the ZenFone Zoom, which was introduced last year, actually shipped with a 3X optical zoom, so we’re expecting to see some interesting features coming with its successor as well. The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom will be made out of metal, and it will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while the device will ship with three capacitive buttons below the display. The phone’s physical keys will be placed on the right-hand side of its body, and the SIM card slot will be placed on the left.

Now, as far as specs are concerned, the ZenFone 3 Zoom will feature a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.0GHz, and will come in 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of internal storage, respectively. The ZenFone 3 Zoom will sport two 16-megapixel snappers on its back, according to TENAA, and a 13-megapixel shooter will be available on the front side of this smartphone. The 5,000mAh battery will be included on the inside of this smartphone, and you will get two SIM card slots here, as well as 4G LTE connectivity, of course. The phone weighs 170 grams, and is 7.99mm thick, while it will ship in Black, Silver and Gold color variants. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find ASUS’ ZenUI user interface. We’re still not sure, but the ZenFone 3 Zoom could launch during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, so stay tuned.
