Is This Bezel-Less Smartphone The Upcoming Meizu PRO 7?

The Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of the most unique smartphones of this year. Xiaomi had introduced this concept, bezel-less smartphone alongside the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 back in October, and the device has been available for purchase in China for quite some time now. That being said, rumors and leaks have been suggesting that both Meizu and Huawei are working on their very own bezel-less devices, and Meizu’s alleged bezel-less handset just leaked once again, read on.

The company had recently announced the Meizu PRO 6 Plus, their Exynos 8890-powered flagship phablet. Well, if this leak is accurate, their upcoming handset will be extremely interesting, and considerably different than the Meizu PRO 6 Plus, especially in terms of the design. This leak is actually somewhat different than everything we’ve seen thus far, and it looks kind of unreal. As you can see, this smartphone is basically all screen, except for that thin chin below the display, and the company’s multifunctional physical key is placed below it. The display seems to be slightly curved on three sides, and the phone looks really nice as a result of all this. Now, the source claims this could be the Meizu PRO 7, Meizu’s upcoming flagship smartphone which is expected to be announced in the first half of next year, but who knows. If this leak is legit, it is possible that Meizu opts to release this phone under a whole new name that is not part of their ‘PRO’ lineup of smartphones, but we’ll see.

The Meizu PRO 7 is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch fullHD or QHD AMOLED display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and several internal storage variants. MediaTek’s Helio X30 64-bit deca-core processor is expected to fuel this smartphone, and the home button will double as a fingerprint scanner. Now, the source also mentions that this device will ship with the ‘Piezoelectric Ceramic Acoustic technology’, which will essentially replace the earpiece which is non-existent on this smartphone, similar to what we’ve seen on the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on this smartphone, and Meizu’s Flyme 6 OS will be placed on top of Google’s offering.
