Freedom Mobile Lowers Price of LG V20 to Only $99

Canada’s Freedom Mobile has some great news for those customers thinking of jumping on board. If you recall, Wind Mobile switched their name to Freedom Mobile and opened up their LTE lines as of November 27, 2016. Only the Toronto and Vancouver regions will get the first LTE, while the summer of 2017 shows LTE coverage will hit Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa, while Southwestern and Southeastern Ottawa will be affected in the fall of 2017. However, the rollout is taking longer than expected, and even the LTE-capable phones available to choose from are limited to two models adding to the frustration of customers.

In an effort to boost sales or appease upset customers, Freedom Mobile is now selling the LG V20 for as little as $99 with a $25/mo MyTab Boost – a $200 savings. Rather than $499, it is $299 with $15/mo MyTab Boost, $499 with $5/mo MyTab Boost, and $649 on MyTab or $799 outright – all prices represent a $200 savings on the original pricing.

The LG V20 is a great device sporting a 5.7-inch IPS LCD Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels or 513 pixels-per-inch. The brain is the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with two cores clocked at 2.15GHz  and two cores clocked at 1.6GHz and a powerful Adreno 530 for graphics. It comes with a 3,200mAh removable battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat.

While the LG V20 is the flagship LTE offering, Freedom Mobile also took into account customers that do not want to pay that much for a new device by offering the ZTE Grand X 4. You can have one for as little as $0 down on a $5/month MyTab Boost or for $99 on MyTab. The ZTE Grand X 4 measures 155 x 76 x 9.0mm and weighs in at 170 grams. It comes sporting a 5.5-inch LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
