In the tablet space, there hasn’t been a whole lot for Android, at least not when it comes to global manufacturers like LG, HTC, and the like. In the case of LG however, it would appear that they have a new version of the G Pad III in the works and this recently leaked image is suggested to be that very tablet. The picture was leaked by Evan Blass over on Twitter, although it’s worth mentioning that now the tweet appears to have been deleted. That being aid, it didn’t disappear before it was possible to grab the image, so users can still have a look at what LG’s upcoming tablet has in store.
While it is possible to pick up some details about this tablet from the picture, there are no hardware or specifications details listed along with it, unfortunately. The original tweet when it was still up did mention, however, that it was a 10.1-inch screen. LG already sells a smaller version of the G Pad III and have already launched the G Pad III 8.0 as of back in March of this year, and back in May it was rumored that Rogers may end up selling the 8-inch tablet as well. Given the smaller version of their latest G Pad is available in their home region, it shouldn’t be too surprising to see that they have had a larger display model in the works. With the G Pad III 8.0 already available and what appears to be a leaked image of a press render, it’s also possible that LG could be gearing up to launch the G Pad III 10.1 in the near future, although it’s most likely that it would make an appearance at the upcoming CES trade show as opposed to happening before it.
Looking at the image, you can see that the power and volume buttons are on the same side, and it looks as if there are dual front facing stereo speakers, each on either side of the display in landscape mode. There is also a front-facing camera as well as a rear-facing camera available so pictures and video chat will of course be capable with this device. Perhaps the most interesting detail, though, is what looks like it could be a kickstand that folds out from the back, with a hinge along the bottom edge of the tablet. Of course, this may not be a kickstand at all, but that particular section on the back where you can see an indent can definitely be pulled away from the tablet, so a kickstand seems like it would be a logical hardware feature.
