PayPal Launches App Focused On Small Business

PayPal has just launched it’s small business focused application onto Android, and it’s appropriately named PayPal Business. The app certainly boasts some of the features that can be found in the standard PayPal app that everyone can use, but there are also new features and functions that will apply solely to businesses here, and with this centralized focus it seeks to give businesses a better app to serve their needs that is a more tailored experience. Naturally, since this is a business variation of the PayPal app, it will tie to PayPal Business accounts making it possible to access the features of those accounts without having to log into the mobile website, which should make things a bit faster.

While there are features here that are specific to having a business account and there are some features that you can find in PayPal’s regular app, it’s unclear (as it’s not listed) if PayPal Business will incorporate the compatibility for logging into the app using a fingerprint, which is a feature that opened up support for Nexus Imprint earlier this year. Of course, the app as stated does include the basics, like managing incoming payments and transferring funds to a bank that’s tied to the PayPal Business account, but it’s the ability to send invoices from the app that is undoubtedly going to be an invaluable feature to any user who has need for this app, as the invoices are how the user will end up getting paid if they sell their goods and services while accepting PayPal as a form a payment, and being able to send an invoice while out and about should also ensure that payments are made in a quick fashion.

In addition to receiving payments and sending out invoices to customers, small business owners can also use the application to monitor their account and sales history, so they can see when payments have come in and how much they were for, as well as view any other activity that happens within the account like money transfers. If ever there is a need to get a hold of a customer, say for example, you need to update information about a shipment for an order they placed, customer information is a key feature here, too, complete with details like the customer’s address, as well as relevant contact information. The customer account information section within the app will also allow users to keep track of the transaction history for all customers, so if there is ever a discrepancy or you just need to grab the transaction details for another purpose, it’ll all be there.
