Xiaomi is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in China, no doubt about that, but this company is so much more than that. Xiaomi is best known for their smartphones, but the company is manufacturing all sorts of other smart gadgets that are less known outside of China. Xiaomi had announced various smart TVs, fitness bands, air purifiers, tablets, an electric bicycle… and so on. Xiaomi’s portfolio is quite considerable at the moment, and it seems like the company is finally ready to make their mark outside of Asia, read on.
The company had confirmed quite recently that they will be present at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month. CES is one of the largest tradeshows in the world, and we were wondering what are Xiaomi’s plans for next year’s CES, as they did unveil the Xiaomi Mi 5 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year, but the company did not exactly make a huge push outside of Asia as some analysts were expecting. Well, it seems like that might happen next year, as the company has just released a new teaser video for the upcoming tradeshow, and based on it, we are expecting to see a ton of various devices being showcased at CES, which essentially means the company will probably start selling them in the US and maybe some other markets in 2017.
If you take a look at the embedded video, you’ll get to see that Xiaomi is confirming that this video is CES-related, and they are using the ‘MiCES2017’ hashtag. In the video itself, you can see various Xiaomi-branded products, including various smartphones, like the Xiaomi Mi MIX, and smart TVs, all the way to the company’s action camera, air purifier, electric bicycle, laptop, VR headset, and so on. So, based on this video, Xiaomi will haul in tons of products to CES 2017, and it seems like it’s time for Xiaomi to make a push outside of Asia, as they have to keep up with Huawei and LeEco. Chances are Xiaomi will start selling such products in the US, but it is possible they plan to hit Europe as well, we’ll see. CES 2017 is kicking off on January 5th, and that’s the date Xiaomi is teasing, so chances are they will announce their products for the global market at the very beginning of the tradeshow in Las Vegas.
