ZTE had launched its flagship device the ZTE Axon 7 back in May this year and then again back in May, the company came up with a smaller version of this flagship smartphone called the ZTE Axon 7 Mini. While the device has been available in the US and other European markets for some time now, now it looks like the ZTE Axon 7 Mini has made its way to the UK as well.
If you’re residing in the UK, now you can pick up the ZTE Axon 7 Mini from Carphone Warehouse. In the UK, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini will be sold exclusively, for now at least, through Carphone Warehouse; the retailer is selling the device in an unlocked version as well as on two-year contract plans. If you choose to go with a SIM-free unlocked model of the ZTE Axon 7 Mini, it will cost you £249.99 a unit, and in case you don’t want to shell out full payment upfront, you can also grab the device on a two-year contract plan with a zero upfront cost, given that you select a minimum plan, which costs £17.99 a month. With a £17.99 a month plan, you will get 300 minutes, 5000 texts, and 500 MB of LTE data each month should you go with the Carphone Warehouse’s own iD network. While the costliest plan is £21.50 a month, which will grant you 600 minutes, 5000 texts, and 2 GB of LTE data. The ZTE Axon 7 Mini is available for purchase in Ion Gold and Platinum Grey color options, but only Ion Gold is currently available for purchase as Platinum Grey is already sold out.
As a recall, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini is a smaller version of the ZTE Axon 7 flagship, but it retains many of the premium features of the ZTE Axon 7 in a smaller form factor. The device packs a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080. Under-the-hood, it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC coupled up with a 3 GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. For optics, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash while an 8-megapixel camera is placed on the front side of the device. Elsewhere, it has a 32 GB of inbuilt storage with a microSD support, a non-removable 2,705 mAh battery with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support, and comes preloaded with Android 6.0.1 software out-of-the-box.
