Android 7.0 Nougat update is now rolling out to the HTC 10 Lifestyle, following its rollout to the HTC 10. Do keep in mind that the update is now rolling out to the European HTC 10 Lifestyle units, and we’re talking about unlocked devices here, of course. Carrier-branded smartphones will have to wait a bit until they start receiving Android 7.0 Nougat, as it’s usually the case due to carrier testing and what not. As far as other markets are concerned, chances are unlocked HTC 10 Lifestyle units will get the update sooner rather than later.
In any case, this update weighs in at 1.15GB, and comes with a version number 2.22.401.3. The HTC 10 Lifestyle Android 7.0 Nougat update follows the update to the HTC 10, which we’ve already mentioned, but also updates to the HTC One M9 (EU and Canada) and the HTC One A9 (US). HTC is going all out as far as Android 7.0 Nougat updates go it seems, they’ve started rolling out this update to quite a few devices in the last week or so. The HTC 10 Lifestyle is the company’s mid-range smartphone which was introduced back in April last year alongside the company’s HTC 10 flagship. The HTC 10 Lifestyle is inferior to the HTC 10, though it is also quite a bit more affordable than the HTC 10, think of it as a mid-range variant of the HTC 10. This smartphone comes with a home button below the display (which doubles as a fingerprint scanner), and that home key is flanked by back and overview (multitasking) keys, respectively. Its physical keys are placed on the right side of its body, while you’ll find the SIM card tray on the left. This handset is made out of metal, and it looks basically identical to the HTC 10, as it is the same phone on the outside, but comes with different internals.
The HTC 10 Lifestyle features a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of the HTC 10 Lifestyle package. On the back of this phone, you’re getting a 12-megapixel OIS snapper, while a 5-megapixel camera is available on its front side. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the HTC 10 Lifestyle, with HTC’s Sense UI on top of it, and now you can update the device to Android 7.0 Nougat in Europe. You’re getting Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging here, and the device is available in Glacier Silver, Carbon Gray and Topaz Gold color variants.
