At CES 2017, Anker was showing off a brand new product, the PowerCore Fusion, which launched today. This is a battery pack, but it’s a bit more than just a battery pack. It’s also a wall charger. This is a concept we’ve seen from other companies in the past, but not at this price point. The PowerCore Fusion is a 5,000mAh battery pack, and it runs at $25.99, which is a great price for this power bank and wall charger in one. And since it does support pass-through, you are able to plug in this wall charger and charge the battery as well as your smartphone (or whatever device you have plugged in) at the same time.
The PowerCore Fusion does support high-speed charging through Anker’s PowerIQ technology, but it does not have Quick Charge 3.0. What this means is that you’ll get fast charging on most devices, but it won’t be as fast as what Qualcomm offers with Quick Charge 3.0. Which could be a disadvantage for some, but it does mean that it is compatible with just about every device out there, which is pretty impressive. The PowerCore Fusion does have a foldable plug, so you can fold it away and toss it into your bag and take it with you. It offers two full-sized USB ports as well as a micro USB port. The micro USB port is used to charge the battery pack, if you don’t have an outlet free to plug it in.

Unfortunately there is no USB cable included – but then again you don’t actually need one since the charger is built in, all you need is an outlet.
