Texas-based American fashion brand Fossil has introduced a trio of new hybrid smartwatches as part of its growing Q line of smart wearables. Named the Q Accomplice, Q Modern Pursuit and Q Grant, all three devices will be available for purchase this spring, and will be priced between $175 and $215. According to the company’s press release, the devices “blend fashion, craftsmanship, and functionality”, much like the other models in the Fossil Q family that are currently available for purchase. All three devices run on Android Wear and are compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.4 KitKat and above. They are also compatible with iPhone 5 and newer, running iOS 8.2 and above. The watches support Bluetooth connectivity and include activity tracking.
Taking a look at the individual models, the Q Accomplice is said to be the slimmest hybrid case that Fossil has designed until now, and includes up to three customizable pushers. What’s more, the new hybrid module that comes with this model has replaced the familiar mode selector sub-eye, which was a staple in some of the previous smartwatches launched by the company. The new module allows for an always-on connected gauge that can reportedly be customized by each individual according to their own specifications. As for the pushers, they can be fully customized as well, thanks to the Fossil Q App. Finally, the Q Accomplice also comes with haptic feedback for notifications, which is yet another good news for people wanting to get their hands on the device.
As for the Q Modern Pursuit and Q Grant, these two are said to be “extensions to the current line of hybrid smartwatches that blend analog design with smart connectivity”. Just like the Accomplice, these two also come with features such as, activity tracking, along with alarms and notifications for calls, texts, emails and calendar events. While the Modern Pursuit comes with bold colors and graphic iconography and has the look and feel of a vintage sports watch that supports an active lifestyle, the Grant, according to Fossil, is “Inspired by the classic appeal of vintage timepieces” and “blends traditional watchmaking with contemporary functionality”.
To sum up, Fossil has added three new models to its wearable portfolio at the CES 2017 with the launch of three smartwatches called the Q Accomplice, Q Modern Pursuit and Q Grant. They are all priced between $175 and $215 and are compatible with both Android and iOS. The best news is that you won’t even have to wait too long to get your hands on these devices, as they will be available for purchase this spring.
