Right now, a number of smartphone manufacturers and carriers are looking to bring the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 7.0 (Nougat), to their devices. OUKITEL is no different and is planning to release Android Nougat to several of their smartphones over the next few months. One of those which is guaranteed to receive the update is the OUKITEL U15S. However, OUKITEL has explained that the update might not become available as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Due to the size and nature of the changes involved, OUKITEL might opt to release the update as an optional and manual update, rather than sending out the OTA to all devices. Which does mean that those who want to get the update will have to look out for the update going live across OUKITEL’s site, social media channels and so on. Once live, the U15S owner will be able to manually push the update to their device using their computer. In terms of when, it is expected that the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update will become available for the OUKITEL U15S sometime in March.
For those new to the OUKITEL U15S, this is one of those smartphones which looks to offer a very good level of specs, within a metal unibody design, at an affordable price. In terms of the numbers, the OUKITEL U15S comes equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD display. Inside, this is a smartphone which comes packing 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor.
