Lately, a number of smartphones have been coming to market boasting ‘rugged’ traits and selling points and the latest which looks set to arrive aimed at this particular market is the AGM A8. This is a smartphone which not only comes with a rugged and durable exterior casing, but is also one which comes with an IP68 certification – so it will be protected against dust and water encounters. However, unlike some rugged smartphones which are focused on budget and entry-level pricing, the difference with the AGM A8 is that this is a smartphone which will look to provide you with an across-the-board decent level of specs and features.
In terms of those specs, the AGM A8 is a smartphone which comes equipped with a 5-inch display and makes use of a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the AGM A8 comes packing 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. In terms of cameras, you can expect the AGM A8 to come loaded with a 13-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features on offer include a 4,050 mAh battery, microSD card expansion (up to 32GB), dual-SIM support, and the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box. Not forgetting of course, the rugged features that are on offer including the IP68 certification.
While the specs for the AGM A8 have now been largely confirmed, AGM has yet to provide firm details on either the pricing or the availability of the AGM A8. However, it does seem as though it will not be too long before those details come through, as AGM has announced that the AGM A8 will be available to buy shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival. So it should be expected that further details on pricing or availability will come through in early February.
