Rumor: Galaxy Tab S3 To Launch At MWC; Pricing & Specs Leak

According to a new report that just surfaced in Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona which kicks off at the end of next month. Some rumors already suggested that this might happen, and this report “confirms” those rumors. In addition to saying that the tablet will launch at the upcoming tradeshow, today’s rumor also shares some of the device’s specs, and even its pricing, read on.

Naver reports that the Galaxy Tab S3 will feature a 9.6-inch 2048 x 1536 display, which means that the company is not planning to release two size variants of their upcoming tablet, as some previous rumors suggested. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel the Galaxy Tab S3 if this report is to be believed, and as many of you know, that is Qualcomm’s flagship SoC for 2016, next to the Snapdragon 821, of course. The Galaxy Tab S3 is also said to sport 4GB of RAM, and it will probably arrive in both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE variants. A 12-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the Galaxy Tab S3, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available on its front side. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on Samsung’s upcoming tablet, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Samsung’s custom UI, of course. The Galaxy Tab S3 is also rumored to be thinner than the Galaxy Tab S2 which was released back in July 2015. The source also reports that the Galaxy Tab S3 will cost 700,000 won ($600) in Korea, well, the most affordable variant of the tablet is said to cost that much.

Now, it is also worth mentioning that the Galaxy Tab S3 got certified by the FCC quite recently, which more or less confirmed that the company is planning to announce this tablet soon. The Galaxy Tab S3 will be Samsung’s new ‘Tab S’ tablet after almost two years, presuming that the company will announce it before July this year, of course. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus almost certainly won’t be announced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), so the upcoming tradeshow seems like a perfect venue for Samsung to introduce the Galaxy Tab S3.
